The Black Hawk College men’s and women’s soccer teams are making history this week with BOTH teams making their first-ever playoff appearances.
“This has been a breakout year for both teams, and I am excited that both programs get to experience a post-season run,” said Arnie Chavera, BHC athletic director.
The Braves began competing in 2021年8月. This fall, both teams broke their own records for most wins in a season.
“I am quite proud of Coach Ochoa, Coach Maus and our student-athletes,” Chavera said. “Both teams are talented and have some grit in them.”

The college announced in 2020年2月 that it was starting a men’s and women’s soccer program thanks to a generous donation from alumni Bob and Blenda Ontiveros.
